Accessibility Scan

Quick start for beta testers

Choose the Brightspace export you want to review.
Add the optional module-intro ZIP only when you have one.
Select Scan and open the HTML report when it is ready.

Primary Brightspace export (.imscc or D2LExport .zip, required)

Optional native Brightspace ZIP for module intros

Brightspace course URL or ID

Filled in automatically when the export filename contains the course ID.

Optional custom words, phrases, or Boolean searches to flag

Use one search per line, or separate simple terms with commas. Matches whole words or exact phrases. Supports AND, OR, NOT, quoted phrases, and -excluded terms.

Scan options

Skip hidden files when the cartridge identifies them

Check external links for broken pages

Not available in the web version: browsers block pages from checking other websites. Use the desktop app for link checking.

Optional course-file maintenance

Check unattached files, duplicate files, and files larger than 2 MiB

Add course-file findings to the accessibility report

Create only the unattached, duplicate, and large-file report
